Nationally, there is a drive to recruit and retain thousands of teachers, this means that there are an ever-increasing number of ways into teaching. We work closely with Initial Teacher Training providers to ensure that we offer opportunities to train and develop enthusiastic teachers with a view to ensuring we offer the best possible practice to our students.
We currently work with the following providers:
The Post Graduate Apprenticeship route is a relatively new and exciting way to gain Qualified Teacher Status whilst still earning a salary. Through Bradford Birth to 19 SCITT, we offer the opportunity to train to teach whilst in employment; use the link HERE to view live apprenticeship vacancies. It is a great route into teaching which is both financially viable and most closely aligned with the day to day life of a teacher.
We also offer the School Centred Initial Teacher Training in partnership with Bradford Birth to 19 and the Carlton Academy Trust Schools Direct programme through a well structured, research informed curriculum. This school lead pathway allows for development of teaching skills in close collaboration with experienced mentors and host teachers; gaining regular feedback on day to day interactions with the curriculum, lesson planning and student behaviours.
The courses and subjects we offer can be found through the DfE Find link below and searching Carlton Academy Trust Teacher Training.
