Head of Carlton Bolling shortlisted for Diversity and Inclusion Award

We are thrilled to announce that Mr Mohammed Azum, Head of School at Carlton Bolling, has been shortlisted for the Diversity and Inclusion Leader at the 2026 TheBusinessDesk.com Yorkshire Leadership Awards.

Under Mr Azum’s leadership, Carlton Bolling’s ‘Everyone Belongs’ mantra is lived out every day in the school’s inclusive and supportive culture. This commitment has been recognised nationally, with the school recently winning the Secondary Provision of the Year award at the 2025 NASEN Awards, as well as Most Inclusive Practice Across a School at the 2025 SEND Awards.

Carlton Academy Trust CEO, Adrian Kneeshaw, said “I’m incredibly proud that Mr Azum’s dedication to fostering inclusivity for students, staff, and the wider school community has been recognised by the judges”.

Congratulations to Mr Azum on this well-deserved recognition!

The awards ceremony will take place in Leeds on Thursday 12th March 2026.

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
