Carlton Bolling students take part in groundbreaking digital arts project

Students from Carlton Bolling have taken part in an innovative arts initiative, joining over 1,200 young people from across the Bradford district to create inspiring new artworks with professional artists.

The Bradford Digital Creatives project, delivered by Born in Bradford and the National Science and Media Museum, in partnership with Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, provided Year 8 and 9 students from Carlton Bolling, Carlton Keighley and four other schools with a unique opportunity to explore digital creativity.

Students engaged in hands-on workshops in data visualisation, audio storytelling, games design, animation, image manipulation, and artificial intelligence, collaborating with renowned artists to produce original works.

Funded by the Arts Council, Bradford 2025, and Bradford Council, this groundbreaking project aims to increase youth participation in arts and culture, enhance their health and wellbeing, and develop a digital talent hub. Additionally, it contributes to research on creativity’s impact on young people’s lives through the Born in Bradford: Age of Wonder study into adolescent health and wellbeing.

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
